January 2007:. Brian
Hamilton, the author of "Weather Display"
software has been working hard to improve the text layout
of the 5 Day Forecast, and the result is impressive!
14
January 2007:. Further
work is on-going to improve the layout of the WXSim
5 day forecast page. Of possible interest, is the news
that a great new website called "ScotWeather"
has recently been set up on the internet, based in Falkirk.
The intention of the site owner is to provide a "one-stop"
site for anyone with an interest in Scotland's weather,
and can be found here.
Well worth a visit!!
5
January 2007:. There
is a now a choice of forecasts to view. The 3 day forecast
from NetweatherTV is still available via the "Weather"
page, but a new link for a 5 day forecast has been created.
This forecast is generated locally using Tom Ehrensperger's
excellent WXSim program, and uploaded using "Weather
Display". Currently, the WXSim forecasts are set
to update thrice daily, at 06:00hrs, 12:00hrs and 18:00hrs,
although their appearance on the website may be a little
later than this. (There are one or two known bugs with
the text alignment at this stage, although hopefully
these will be addressed with future upgrades of "Weather
Display"). This is still experimental, and the information
is provided for interest only. **DO NOT PLAN IMPORTANT
EVENTS USING THESE DATA!**
.: 30 December 2006
:. The
web-site has been moved to its new home at www.fortwilliamweather.com
It is hoped that this will provide a more reliable,
robust base - particularly for the uploading of live
data. Thanks are again due to my son, Edward, for his
valuable help and advice in setting this up.

does not give a forecast? Thanks to the nice people
at netweatherTV, a new page has been added giving a
three day weather forecast for Fort William. This can
be accessed from the main weather section.

Welcome to the new-look Fort William Weather Online!
The site has been radically re-designed by my son, Edward,
who is clearly MUCH better than his father at writing
HTML! Many things have been changed in this ie. the interface
and colours. The biggest change is the quicker-loadtime of the
site. To access the weather information, click on the 'Weather'
section from the list of links above and then choose from the
main section the type of information you want. I hope you enjoy
browsing Fort William Weather Online...
